How to Plan an Affordable, Homemade Cleanse for the Candida Diet That Works

When you first realize that you are suffering from Candida overgrowth and decide to start the cleanse, it can be challenging to find one in a store that is reasonably priced and provides everything that you need. Instead of wandering around to all of the health food stores, you can make your own in just a few minutes. Because you’re making it at home, it is almost guaranteed to be less expensive and you will have the opportunity to change it each time that you make it, so it will eventually taste better. If you bought one, it would always taste the same each time you drank it, and in my experience, they do not seem to improve in taste over a period of time.

There are many different ways that you can do a candida cleanse, at home, to start the Candida diet out the right way. Unfortunately, this could be one of the least pleasant parts of the diet, because not only will be your diet be severely restricted during this first 48 hours, but you will also be taking steps to thoroughly clean out your digestive system.

Your Bowels

As the saying goes, “What goes in must come out,” and this is the proof .What that means is that many of the items that you have been eating, as well as the Candida overgrowth itself, are likely to have lodged firmly in your body after digestion. To put it delicately, you will need to encourage your bowels to do their work and release the extra waste.

Your options for doing so are any one of these:

  • 1) An enema that you perform at home, probably by yourself
  • 2) A colonic irrigation that you have performed by a medical professional
  • 3) A juice fast that contributes to a natural removal of waste

If you chose option 1, be sure that you understand how to do so and are using the appropriate tools. Do not perform more than one enema within a seven day period, unless you have been advised to do so by a medical care provider who is familiar with your needs. A colonic irrigation is usually performed in a medical setting by trained personnel and a juice fast, even though it is the more natural option does not always provide the anticipated results as quickly as hoped.

Include Probiotics in Significant Doses

Although you do not want to take enough of these items to cause diarrhea, particularly since you also did the bowel cleanse, you will want to consume enough probiotics that you are likely to see an effect. Typically, the average, healthy person who has no other major challenges to their health except the Candida overgrowth could begin with a dose of one capsule a day, or at least three plain, unflavored yogurts with live, active bacteria a day. Obviously, there is going to be a better concentration of Probiotics, so at least for the duration of time that you are using the cleanse, it may be a better idea for you to consume the capsules during this time period.

The same herbs, including garlic and oil of oregano, that you can use during the diet itself are also acceptable during this time period. Otherwise, the 24-48 hour period should be fasting, with only the inclusion of the yogurt mentioned previously, water, green vegetables and fruit that is not sweet. There is no doubt that it could be difficult, but the rewards are worth it. Remember to drink a lot of water.
